Our Process — From Quote to Completion

Most landscape companies make their process invisible. We make ours transparent. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you call us to the moment we walk off your property — for every service we offer.

    Lawn Care Programs

    1. 1

Inquiry & site visit (Day 1–3)

You call, text, or email. We respond within a few hours. Site visit typically within 3–5 days.

    2. 2

Property walk + quote (Day 3–5)

We measure mowable square footage, identify edge work, obstacles, and access. Written quote within 24–48 hours.

    3. 3

      Schedule first service (Day 5–10)

Approved quotes start within a week. We email your full schedule (weekly day + arrival window).

    4. 4

      Weekly visits (May–October)

Same crew, same day, 30–60 minutes on-site. Mowing, edge trimming, blow-down, optional bagging. Season program billing.

    5. 5

      Communication touch-points

We text if rain delays. Mid-season check-in (early August). End-of-season recap when programs wrap.

    6. 6

      Renewal (April of next year)

Quick text in early April to confirm your next-season program — no auto-renew, no surprises.

    Paver Patio / Driveway Installation

    1. 1

Inquiry & site visit (Day 1–5)

We bring physical paver samples to your property so you can see real colors and textures in your own light.

    2. 2

      Design conversation (45–60 min on-site)

Measure, show samples, discuss patterns, sketch concepts. Identify complications — slope, drainage, access, removal of existing surfaces.

    3. 3

      Written quote (within 48 hours)

Itemized: paver style + quantity, base prep, edge restraint, polymeric sand, removal, drainage, and clean-up.

    4. 4

      Approval + deposit

25% deposit for projects over $5,000. Lead time 2–4 weeks during peak season.

    5. 5

      Day-of-install: site setup

Crew on-site at 7:30 AM. Tarp and protect lawn, beds, and existing hardscape. Mark utilities before any digging.

    6. 6

      Excavation

8–10 inches for patios, 10–12 inches for driveways. Soil hauled off-site — no spoil piles left behind.

    7. 7

      Base preparation

Geotextile fabric laid first. Class A gravel placed in 4-inch lifts, each lift compacted with a plate compactor. No shortcuts here — base is everything.

    8. 8

      Edge restraint

Spike-down plastic edge restraint installed at engineered intervals. This is what keeps your pavers from spreading over time.

    9. 9

      Paver laying

Pattern-true, with wet-saw cuts done on-site for clean, precise edges.

    10. 10

      Polymeric sand jointing

Sand worked into every joint, compacted, then misted to activate the binder.

    11. 11

      Final compaction + clean

Full-area compaction. All debris hauled. Patio ready to use in 24–48 hours.

    12. 12

      Walk-through + warranty paperwork

Manufacturer warranty paperwork handed over. Final invoice on completion.

    13. 13

Polymeric sand re-application (after first rain)

We come back to top up any joints that settled. Always included — never an upcharge.

    Retaining Wall / Hardscape

    1. 1

      Inquiry & site visit

Same friendly process — and we discuss whether engineered drawings will be needed (any wall over 4 ft).

    2. 2

      Design + engineering

Walls over 4 ft: we coordinate stamped engineered drawings (1–2 weeks). Smaller walls go directly to quote.

    3. 3

      Permit (when required)

Walls 4 ft and taller need a building permit. We submit using the engineered drawings. Municipal turnaround typically 2–3 weeks.

    4. 4

      Materials staging

Stone, gravel, drainage tile, and geogrid all delivered before the crew arrives.

    5. 5

      Excavation

Trench dug 12–18 inches below grade for proper base depth.

    6. 6

      Drainage installation

Perforated drain tile wrapped in a geotextile sock at the base of the wall, daylighted to a safe outlet.

    7. 7

      Base + first course

6–12 inches of Class A gravel, fully compacted. First course laid with millimeter-precision — every course above depends on it.

    8. 8

      Wall construction

Course-by-course build. Geogrid layers at engineered intervals on walls over 4 ft. Drainage backfill (clean stone) placed behind the wall as it rises.

    9. 9

      Capstone + adhesive

Caps set with hardscape adhesive — never loose. Safer, cleaner, longer-lasting.

    10. 10

      Final grading + topsoil

Disturbed areas regraded, topsoil reinstated, grass seed applied where appropriate.

    11. 11

      Walk-through + warranty

Full project walk-through with you before we leave.

    Outdoor Construction (Decks, Pergolas, Gazebos)

    1. 1

      Inquiry, site visit + design

Sketch options, walk through material comparisons, lock in feature decisions.

    2. 2

      Permit coordination

Most attached decks need a permit — we handle the application end-to-end.

    3. 3

      Material ordering

      Pressure-treated: next-day availability. Cedar: 1–2 weeks. Composite: 2–4 weeks.

    4. 4

      Foundation

Concrete piers, deck blocks, or full footings — chosen based on size, height, and ground conditions.

    5. 5

      Framing

Beams and joists set and leveled. Inspections scheduled if the permit requires it.

    6. 6

      Decking + railing

Hidden fasteners or face-screwed depending on the spec. Railings always built to code.

    7. 7

      Stairs + finishing

Skirting, fascia, and finishing details installed last for a clean look.

    8. 8

      Stain / sealing (optional)

Applied during the build or scheduled later, depending on material and weather.

    9. 9

      Final inspection + walk-through

Permit inspection if required. Full walk-through with you.

Inquiry — book early, slots fill

Spring: book by mid-April. Fall: book by early September.

    2. 2

      Quote

    3. 3

Spring: late April through mid-May. Fall: late October through mid-November.

    4. 4
